Welcome to the blog side of Pour Choices. If you have already met us on the About page, you know we are not here to pretend life is neat and tidy. Spoiler: it is not. We are here for the messy middle, fueled by coffee, tea, and the occasional questionable decision.

So why a blog? Because life is too big to fit neatly into a bag of coffee beans or a tin of tea leaves. We love making products that taste good, but we also know the real magic happens in the conversations, the laughter, the shared stories, and sometimes even the spills. This blog is where all of that can live.

The truth is, Pour Choices is not just about us. Sure, it started with our friendship, our love of coffee and tea, and our mutual tendency to laugh at our own questionable decisions. But it has always been about creating a space where you feel welcome too.

We have both lived through times when it felt like perfection was the only acceptable standard. You know the drill: curated feeds, perfect pours, carefully staged everything. And honestly? We are over it. Life does not look like a glossy coffee table book, and that is what makes it interesting.

What You Can Expect Here

Behind the beans and leaves: We will take you along for the ride as we work with roasters, blenders, and makers. You will get to see the choices behind what ends up in your cup, the experiments that go right, and the ones that do not.
Pour Choices IRL: We will share our own stories of questionable decisions, plus highlight stories from our community. Sometimes these will be lighthearted, sometimes they will be a little more reflective, but they will always be real.

The podcast connection: Our upcoming podcast, Your Pour Choices, will be a place for deeper dives. Expect conversations that mix humor with honesty, along with the occasional tangent that only makes sense if you have had your second cup of coffee. This blog will give you teasers, extended notes, and extra context that does not always fit into a recording.
Bizi sightings: Our octopus mascot, Bizi, is a little unpredictable. Expect to see them pop up in stories, posts, and maybe even their own guest appearances.

Why We Are Starting With a Blog

The internet is noisy. We did not want to add more noise just for the sake of it. What we wanted was a space to slow down, to connect, and to be real about the process. Coffee and tea are our starting points, but they are also a lens. Through them, we talk about identity, belonging, creativity, chaos, and the small choices that add up to big stories.

As a proudly queer-owned brand, these conversations about identity and belonging are personal to us and grounded in lived experience.
